I have been so busy this past week getting ready for saturday's event at the Petaluma Fairgrounds. I want to show a bunch of new peices. I painted all sunday and Monday. I'm exhausted. so much so that this is the second time I'm doing this blog. I had it all downloaded, worded, and I hit that magic button that makes it all go away. Fricken unbelievable. So. I guess I will try one more time! There are a lot of little abstracts I did on paper. Kind of a new experiment. So far I am pleased and excited by the process. There are many paintings, i have tried to show them in some order. Let the chaos insue....enjoy and... some are yet to be finished. Remember this the evolution process! I have no preconceived notion of what i will create. Images appear out of the paint. I take their lead.
Last weekend I painted more on the abstract portrait of dog & lady. This one is being difficult. Had a terrible time painting. I found it difficult and frustrating, but I went thru it anyways...I realize now upon a work week of reflection, that my only problem was that I was trying too hard. I need to forget what I'm doing and just let it happen....so these images may be difficult to view. I am hoping to make it better. Oh what have I done?... I got the day off today so I spent it in the studio, in between weeding and walking the dog. Lets see what happened today. This is one of three i worked on. I began this painting yesterday in class with Brooks.
I decided to try to paint the engine of my motorcycle. Here is its evolution.
This weekend i continued to work on the painting i last posted. Here is the evolution as it continues. |
