To have a portrait done, I only need a few photos that capture the personality of your pet. I had one client send me 5 photos of her dog, out of those I primarily choose two that said something to me. When I finished the portrait, I returned the photos and met the dog. I was a bit surprised to see the grey face of an old dog, when I had painted a much younger version. The owner said she chose those images because of the dogs youth, when they shared many fun times.
This is the great thing about doing paintings from photos, you can choose the ones that are meaningful to you. Then I can have fun turning your memories into a colorful and fun piece of fine art.
